1. Attention everyone! We recently realized we’ve never introduced you to MAYBE the most important person at MindSnacks: the hand that feeds—our chef Alice! Thus commences today’s Meet a MindSnacker.
Hey Alice! What’s on the menu for today?

Hey! Today we’re having pesto & summer squash lasagna, lettuces & walnuts with a buttermilk herb dressing, sharlyn melon & strawberries, and country bread with butter and apricot jam!

STOP. That is AMAZING. If you weren’t cooking delicious stuff for us all day, what would you be doing?

Funny thing, if I weren’t cooking today at Mindsnacks I’d probably still be cooking or baking something at home, going to the farmer’s market, or browsing the interwebs for interesting recipes. Or since the weather is finally nice today, I’d go for a bike ride somewhere in the hills.

That’s very culinary and local of you. We love that, but let’s get serious. If you were on the Iron Chef, what would you want the secret ingredient to be?

Iron Chef, eh? I’d probably want the secret ingredient to be a less common spice or herb. Maybe lemon verbena, I’m in love with that flavor. Or lemongrass. Those both translate well into savory and sweet.

Alice you’re always wooing us with your extensive food vocabulary. Never stop. What would be your last meal?

Someone else recently asked me that question. Truly impossible to answer. My list changes by the minute. Definitely an awesome crusty bread with olive oil and butter and a really fragrant long grain white rice. Those have remained consistent. If today were my last I’m in the mood for a steamed fresh white fish, a variety of cheeses, stovetop popped popcorn…. Are we also talking about beverages? Because I couldn’t pass up a good Belgian beer, and a cappuccino for afterwards. I’m not going to try to start thinking about dessert.

Excellent answer. We need to make stovetop popcorn as soon as possible. Speaking of dessert, what are you going to do to the art team next time they steal your cookie dough?

Art team beware. So far pinching cookie dough is penalized by creating an original piece of artwork. I’ve received two awesome graphics to date. Stage two offense yields me a full-sized print of the artwork to hang in the kitchen. I have to start finding new hiding spots for treats.

OR you could purposely hide it poorly, and rack up as many pieces of original artwork as possible. Just throwing that out there. Because if it’s not well-hidden WE WILL FIND IT. Never forget that.

We love you, Alice. Thanks for all the amazing food!
